Well, if they can pull off what they are stating they aim to in the trailer, I would be very impressed! I will probably end up getting anyway because of the key words "Free To Play"

I completely disagree with the game getting worse. When my girlfriend's parents got her WoW and BC for Christmas, She let me do the whole recruitment thing so I could play with her for a month without paying for it. I saw that they had added "Achievements" and quit after a week. I'll eventually get this feeling in the pit of my stomach which yearns for the game to be like it was before, and I won't be able to have that again. This is generally how I feel about the game as well. I was in a fantastic guild with some of the best people I had ever met in the game, we had just started doing Kara raids. It was FUN. Then stuff started happening IRL (my fiancee of almost 5 years walked out on me, etc. etc.) and I stopped playing and now they're all gone. And from the overall caliber of general players nowadays, I probably wouldn't want to play at all. When I logged on to my old main, that tough old Tauren warrior of mine, it made me incredibly depressed. Everything was strange. NPC's I had come to rely on being in certain areas were missing, all my in game friends were missing. I'd imagine it was a similar feeling to what Rumple Stilzkin would have had after his 100 year nap. Cata does look cool, and the new content and everything looks cool, but I can't get excited over starting from scratch again, because I invested so much time in my old character. I only ever had one character at max level. I'll stop rambling now. |

The GF just got FFXI Ultimate Collection for $10 at Gamestop. All I have to say is: Holy shit. The Hoops you have to jump through just to make an account are ridiculous! The fact that you HAVE to have a credit/debit card that can be secure-coded or w/e is utter bullshit. I remember when I got WoW I had my account registered, 60 day game card put in and was playing in less than 15 minutes after installation. It's been close to 45 minutes now and she's still not in the game yet!

It takes a monster to get over 1k?...i got a like over 1.4k on it in 1080, so ...happy? :P
Also, yea the patches are annoying, but with new problems arriving daily, and new patches coming out sometimes multiple times a day, you just gotta bear with it if you wanna play. Sadly though it doesn't take very long to see all there is to the beta. I really think ive spent more time in the character creator with the various races to see all my options, then actually playing the game, and ive done all the posted quests on 3 separate characters. Also, kingdom hearts BBS as soon as gamestop opens, or before, whatever. |

Can do. So far im in character creation, and its by far heads and tails above how FFXI looked, the character models look as good as the ff13 models. But it was a crap shoot getting this far, about 2 hours of loading and refreshing pages to get the proper info in. It does look nice, but the distinct visual aspects of 11(or lack thereof) meant it used less processing to render the environment, lending to faster loading, less system resource consumption. Or so i was told by someone who is arguably from Teriyakiland. If i can get around to getting all the patches, i'll likely melt the bottom out of this laptop running that beta on full-minimum specs(i scored under 300 on the benchmark). Soon as i get income, i'm upping to a monster performance machine capable of 1k+ on that benchmark, but that's a ways off. In the meantime, i'm trudging through Borderlands, twinking out a siren for the once-a-week LAN thing. Also still trudging through ResonEnd of EterniFate, or however you call it. Grinding the arena is a real pain, but i'll never need money again. For those of you who have steam, go pick up Recettear. It's highly addictive, $20, and a worthwhile investment considering these tough economic times. And you thought running a store wasn't fun. |

Sooner or later, everyone joins Facebook. I just friended my longest known real-life holdout. Truth be told, i've yet to make a facebook account, nor any of the more popular social networking doodads. Only problem is, i can't prove it; it's akin to disproving everything but. But i don't intend to make one. Call me old fashioned. My happy high of reminiscing wore off, and i've been slacking off in the calisthenics and nutrition discipline regime, so i need to get back on that horse, at least through the rest of the year. Making good progress, despite the constant binges of calorie-laden foods. On a related note, will they be giving away a free taco at Taco Bell this year as well? Is it possible to reacquire that sense of impatience from childhood, where five minutes seems like an hour? Days go by so fast nowadays, i think i'm missing something at some point somewhere. More random thoughts to occur, stay tuned. |

... more Castlevania. At this point, I've more or less farmed everything I was after... it's just a matter of racking up those 10,000 kills now. (Whoever designed the achievements for this game needs to be taken out back and told to think about what they've done. For a LONG TIME.)

Has anyone here ever had any dealings with NCSX (National Console Support, Inc.)? I just stumbled upon their website this evening, and they've got some nice prices on a couple things, but I've never heard of them before. Just wondering if they're legit.
Any info is appreciated, thanks! |
